Great Quote

"If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music.... Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause to say: 'Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well."
Martin Luther King Jr.
This is essentially the same thing as saying do everything to the glory of God. Everything we do, no matter how seemingly small and insignificant, we should do with all are might as unto God. Whatever your calling is throw your whole heart into it. Anything worth doing is worth doing with all your might. For those of us who are students, let's study for the glory of God. For us daughters at home, let's serve our families with all our might that in doing so we serve our Lord and maker.
"Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

I got a red rose for Valentine's Day!!

Someone gave me a red rose for Valentine's day. As far as I know it is the first red rose I have ever received for Valentine's Day. I took a better picture of it but the computer is being ornery and won't upload it correctly.

Super Easy Cheesy Bacon Pasta

I have a new favorite cookbook. It is the Pioneer Woman cookbook. Not only are her recipes really good but she has step by step pictures; which I absolutely love. So Hannah and I decided to try taking step by step pictures to a recipe. It was an interesting experience for sure. Trying to balance taking decent pictures, remembering all the ingredients and not burn the food all at once was certainly a challenge. Here is the recipe

4 10oz. cans of diced tomatos
2 garlic cloves
2 TBSP. Olive Oil
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried oregeno
3\4 tsp. salt
1\2 tsp. sugar
a sprinkle of pepper
1\4 c. heavy whipping cream
10 strips of bacon
Parmesan cheese

Place in the Choir

I absolutely LOVE this video!! It is a good video to watch if you need some cheering up but watch out the song will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. : )

Nathan sings this song around the house. "Clap your hands on the telephone wire. "
