Monterey Bay Aquarium Trip

On Monday, my family along with a whole bunch  of our friends, went to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium for homeschool day. I hadn't been there in 9 years so it was a lot of fun to revisit it!
I spent most of my day enjoying all the amazing different fish whilst wandering around with Hannah, trying to take travel magazine style pictures :)

I loved looking at all the different jellyfish! They were so beautiful and graceful and they made me want to touch them :/
Actually I have touched a jellyfish once, on PEI. There were lots of jellyfish there and there was one lying on the beach and Han and I touched the top of it :)

The deep sea tank was probably one of my favorite displays. It is SO big!! The sharks were very impressive and I enjoyed watching the huge schools of sardines swimming together:)

My absolute favorite display was the Finding Nemo tank :) :)
Han and I also spent some of our time stalking our various friends that were also there :) As you can see that in this instance we weren't very successful in being secretive :/:)

I think I want to live by the ocean!! It is calling me!!!
On a side note, I really liked what I saw of Monterrey. I have yet to meet a beach side city that I don't like :)

Hannah loves this picture I took of a pigeon....

Elianna had lots of fun in all the various kid areas. She has told me a couple times this past week that she wants to go back and see the fishies :):)

She got a little bit tired towards the end from playing so hard :)

After our time at the aquarium was done everyone from our group went to dinner together.

All in all it was a very fun day. It was wonderful to see God's handiwork and creativity in all the different creatures. They are all so different and designed perfectly for their environment. It was crazy to me that the people who wrote the signs at the aquarium gave all the credit to the fish themselves for being so perfectly designed!!

" Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens." God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.  God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day."
