We are safely home from our wonderful trip. We had so much fun in North Carolina. We didn't want to leave yet we also wanted to be home. It was a weird conflict :)
I am sorry I didn't post anything. My internet on my computer stopped working. I had a whole bunch of posts planned but alas I did not have the ability to post them. And actually I probably wouldn't have had the time because when we weren't doing something fun with extended family I was working on my NaNoWriMo story.
Anyways, how was your Thanksgiving? We got home the day before Thanksgiving so we had a quiet day at home. Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite holidays. I really like holidays in general. It is so much fun to have a day that gives you some excuse to do something fun and out of the ordinary. But there is something about Thanksgiving that really makes me love it. I like sitting with friends and family and retelling all the things we are thankful for. I love cooking and eating a big meal. And I really like how Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. So I am now in full holiday mood.
I am working on going through and organizing all my pictures from the trip so a post about the rest of the trip will be forthcoming. But until then here is a picture of us at The Hermitage. We visited it on our drive home through Tennessee. It was a beautiful house with extensive grounds. I bet it would be a pretty place to visit in Spring :):)
Late Happy Thanksgiving, Emilie! I love how your blog is changed for fall, it looks nice :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you too :) Thanks. I am trying to find a Christmasy theme for December.
DeleteCongratulations on your novel btw!! :)
Yay! I can wait to see you and Han on monday!!! My favorite things about Thanksgiving are the company, the food, and it being the beginning of the holidays. I never really feel in a holiday mood until Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!! I have missed orchestra.
DeleteNeither am I but Thanksgiving definitely gets me started :):)
